Overcome is defined as: to get the better of : to gain superiority
Fear takes many forms. There may be fear of failing, sickness, people, things, etc.
Bible scripture equips us with the tools to overcome and who supplies the overcoming tools :

The LORD is my
light and
my salvation; whom shall I fear?
the LORD is the
strength of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?
2Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
1John 4:18
There is no fear in love; but perfect love
casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that
feareth is not made perfect in love.
We should speak boldly to any challenge or situation and tell it that it has no control for the greater power is in us (1John 4:4) .
Fear
should always be combated with scripture. We have
the superior power over fear when we speak in faith.
We can build our faith by hearing and speaking God’s
Word daily.
(Rom 10:17). These words will become a part of us and give us control of our thoughts.
Overcoming fear is done not by us but through our thought life
(Rom 12:2), keeping ourselves shielded by the Word
(Eph 6) and by the words we speak (Matthew 12:37).
Never allow fear to get the upperhand.
